Lowther Primary School's Parent/Carer Teacher Association (PTA) is a volunteer organisation dedicated to the school's diverse community, to the well-being of our children and to their education and pastoral care. All parents/carers and teachers are automatically members of the PTA.
Each term we organise fundraising events and social get togethers for parents/carers and children. The PTA has raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance the children's education and the school facilities. The PTA also helps to foster closer links between home and school and is an excellent way to bring staff, parents/carers and friends together socially in support of our school.
PTA News Update: We have a fantastic new PTA team now ready to help us all pull together to support our awesome school in lots of different ways. The PTA play a vital role in every school and here at Lowther we massively appreciate parents/carers getting involved in the life of their school, whether that be fundraising, helping out, volunteering, donating time or finances or just generally being involved in school life. Please do get involved in any way you can.
Communicating with you is an important part of what we do, making sure you get the correct information about activities, events and school news that really matters is something we care about.
Lowther School uses ParentMail, a service which helps us to communicate more efficiently and effectively with parents/carers.
We can now also receive payments through the ParentMail system.
We inform parents/carers by email and/or text about items they need to pay. Parents/Carers can then pay on their mobile or computer and money is transferred directly into the school bank account - it's all very easy and secure. Cash, cheque and voucher payment can still be recorded so parents/carers can pay whichever way is most convenient to them.
We'd like to encourage all parents/carers to download the App as there are a number of benefits both to you and to the school:
